AUSTRALIA SYDNEY KOALA PARK

TODAY'S DESTINATION 'KOALA PARK'

SWAMP WALLABY
Wallaby bicolor
They are brownish or grey black all over and have an orange belly, white face and shoulder stripe.  The tail is long and dark.  They hop heavily with the body well bent over, about 30 cm high and head held low.  They are common in dense scrub and headlands in the coastal and eastern ranges of New South Wales, but are very shy and are rarely seen.
KANGAROOS - One of Australia's most popular, most talked about, and most iconic animals.  Different kangaroos can be found in various places around Taronga Zoo or Koala Park.
It is important not to get too close to Kangaroos while walking through the zoo. Although it might be temping, you could be risking serious injury.  So be sure to keep some distance.
Jeff and I saw this beautiful creature and we follow her to take some photos with her but unfortunately, every time we go in front of her, she always move back.  But Jeff so good we got lots of good shots.
KOALA
KOALA - Is a unique Australian animal.  They have the ability to eat eucalyptus leaves. They can't eat anything else.  Eucalyptus leaves are actually a poisonous food source that no other animal can eat.  Koala sleep about 20 hours a day and they are quite solitary, so apart from this first year of life where mum hangs out with the baby, she heads off and is independent.  They don't have family groups, they don't form relationships or couples or anything like that.  That's got to do with the fact that they're just not awake enough to make relationship so these guys tend to have arguments when they're around each other too much.  Unfortunately in the recent 200 years since European settlement.  A lot of these trees have been cut down, which is the main threatening process for Koalas in the wild.  They are naturally from the East Coast of Australia, which is a problem because that is the most densely populated part of Australia.  So it is quite a threat to these guys.
Koala do have personalities, so it really does depend.  Some don't react very much to humans, but others will move quickly away from you if you come close.  Sometimes it has to do with upbringing, these koalas here have been around people their whole lives, so they are quite relaxed.  But sometimes it's too stressful for a Koala if lot's of people want to handling them everyday and they trying to get some sleep.
