COUPLE FROM DIFFERENT COUNTRY LANGUAGE BARRIER?
Many people always asking me how my Korean husband and I communicate well with each other specially the first time we're dating, because he speak English, only a little bit, it's like 10% out of 100 and he didn't even know how to speak Tagalog well (Filipino Language), he know only 5% of Tagalog. And me at that time, totally can't speak Korean.
I remember the first time we're dating, he always bring with him his ELECTRONIC DICTIONARY, just to communicate well to me. But for me language is just second in a relationship even you're international couple or not the most important of all is how much you love each other, NICE! but LANGUAGE is a tools to have a better communication specially if you are couple from different countries like us. So both of you need an effort to do what is good for your relationship because for me, a good relationship needs work to make it last.
The question is what you will do if you are couple from different planet? haha just kidding!. Two different countries couple is hard that's why! you both need an extra effort to make it work.

Since my husband busy at work and don't have time to study language, I'm the one who's trying hard and eager to learn Korean Language, I'm doing it for me and for him, I'm learning their culture as well, because of that I can be able to understand my husband more, everyday I'm learning something new and it's totally worth it and beneficial to me at the same time. Now we communicate 95% in Korean, and 5% in English or Tagalog to each other. My husband as of now know how to speak Tagalog 10% haha, It's fine with me because I know his trying his best also to learn my language and my culture. His living here in the Philippines for a total of 4 years now, so he understand basically what my culture is, and that's the most important thing for me because of that he also understand me.
The bottom line is; International couple needs to have an effort to know each other country, culture and language to make the relationship work and last. Also respect each other countries, culture and traditions.
I know each couple have different style or what ever, I'm not an expert or something but for us this is the way it works.
