KOREAN TRADITIONAL WEDDING
We got married December 15, 2010 in the Philippines. And May 28 2012, is our renewal of vows in south korea, because my husband old fashion he want it to celebrate in 'old korean wedding style' ceremony.
Lighting the candles
Long ago, weddings or honrye were held in the brides yard or house. The groom go to the bride's house by horse.
Wedding geese are also a symbol for long and happy marriage.
Traditionally, the groom would give a live goose-a symbol of fidelity because
it takes only one partner in its life-to his new mother-in-law as a sign of his
faithfulness to her daughter. Today's Korean families substitute the live goose
with a wooden one called a kirogi.
In South Korea this is called Kama (a small palanguin)
Those RED DOTS in my face are called yeonjigonji. It represent the women's status as a virgin, as a chaste girl would have naturally flushed and ruddy cheeks. And also they believed that red a lucky color.

Coming out
I did a vows, four times as a sign of respect to the groom's family after that my husband vows only two times.
This wine was poured into cups made from two halves of a gourd grown by the bride's mother. The bride and groom sip from their separate cups and then the wine is mixed together, poured once more into the gourd cups and sipped again. This is kunbere, the wedding vow.
My husband don't have parents anymore or even sibling so his uncle throw the chestnuts and jujube, the symbol of this for us to have a lot of children.
My groom's attire, A jacket (jeogori) and trousers and an overcoat are worn. The jacket has loose sleeves and the trousers are roomy and tied with straps at the ankles. A vest may be worn over the shirt, and a black hat.
The bride's attire, A jeogori; short jacket with long sleeves with two long ribbons which are tied to form the otgoreum. A chima, a full-length, high-waisted, wrap-around shirt is worn. Boat-shaped shoes made of silk, are worn with white cotton socks. The bride's attire might include a white sash with significant symbols or flowers. I also worn a headpiece or crown.
