HEADING TONGYEONG CITY (통영시)

TONGYEONG is a coastal city in South Gyeongsang Provice in South Korea.  It is divided into 1 town, 6 township and 11 neighborhood.  The name Tongyeong means 'command post'.  It is known because of some famous places like; Goseong Peninsula, Hansan Island, Mireuk Island.  And it was formerly known as Chungmu, after the posthumous name of Admiral Yi Sun-sin.

Hallyeosudo Landscape Cable Car
The cable cars (1,975 m long)  are a new special feature from which you can enjoy the magnificent view of the Hallyeohaesang National Marine Park.  There are 48 cable cars with an eight person capacity that continuously circulate from the lower depot at the Donam Tourist Complex to the upper depot located just below the peak of Mt. Mirueksan.  The site of the historical victory of Great Battle of Hansan, and the beautiful scenery of the Hallyeohaesang National Marine Park are glorious views from the cable car ride.

Going up to Mt. Mireuk (미륵산), you supposed to ride a cable car (covering over 2km, the longest in South Korea).  In a clear weather, visitors can be able to see Tsushima Island in Japan, Cheongwangbong Peak in Jirisan, and Dolsando in Yeosu.  And they say when spring the top of the mountain boasts a dazzling array of flowers.
But that day they are closed because of the weather, it's so windy.  So since Jeff and I already there and going to Mt. Mireuk is our main purpose of going to Tongyeong city, we just drove the car and went to the bottom of the mountain, the good thing of riding a cable car you will start going up to the mountain from the middle.  But since it's closed we start from the bottom of the mountain.
This is the bridge where you will stop, when you have a chance to ride the cable car going up to the mountain.  It's very near to the top.
Me looking to the amazing view that God's created.
This is the 10th mountain that we hiked so far.  So happy that we made it! because as you notice my husband shoes is not a rubber shoes, it's a leather shoes, mine as well.  Because we expect to ride on the cable car that's why we don't bother to wear rubber shoes and since we came from a birthday party yesterday we didn't prepare rubber shoes.  My feet really really in pain at that moment but when we rich the top of the mountain it's all gone, I forgot it just for a moment because when we go back home my feet is in terrible pain. ^_^
MT. MIREUK is a mountain in the city of Tongyeong, Gyeongsangnam-do in South Korea.  It has an elevation of 461 m (1,512 ft).
what a view
When you reach the top of the mountain, you can see breathtaking view of the sea and small islands.
It's time to go down, so happy that I can be able to see this one of God's creature.  So peaceful and the nature so beautiful. I absolutely LOVE it!. and Jeff and I really one of the luckiest person on earth because while going down we saw a group of people sharing each others food (lunch box), while we're walking down they gave us one whole Korean rice cakes, the one with red beans on the top.  We're lucky because I am hungry and we don't have anything or any food with us, we just plan to eat one of the restaurant when we reach the bottom of the mountain.  So the rice cakes gave us more power to reach the bottom.  Thank you Lord for all the blessings. ^_^
MIREUKSAN (미륵산) is one of the best mountains in South Korea.  Not as high as other mountains infact you will reach the top for about only two hours, you can see forest, valley and odd-shaped rocks, and ancient temples.
