AUSTRALIA SYDNEY OPERA HOUSE AND HARBOUR BRIDGE
One thing come into my mind when I heard the country's name 'AUSTRALIA Sydney' it's nothing but the 'OPERA HOUSE', that's why this is the first place in my list that I promise to visit when we arrive in Sydney. So we went here with my loving husband.
OPERA HOUSE - Is one of Sydney's most iconic attractions. It's iconic sail-shaped building at Bennelong Point, right on Sydney Harbour.
Design by Danish Architect Jorn Utzon, and it's constructed between 1959 and 1973. It's world-class performing arts venue.
After walking and exploring the Opera House. Jeff and I so tired so just sit down for a minute and relax and ofcourse don't forget to take a picture together with your favorite travel buddy.
Sydney Harbour Bridge - Contrasting with the Opera House's undulating sails is the dramatic steel presence of the SYDNEY HARBOUR BRIDGE. You can drive across it, climb it or simply gaze at it from any angle.
FACTS ABOUT THE SYDNEY HARBOUR BRIDGE
1. The Bridge may rise or fall up to seven inches as the steel expands or contracts in the water.
2. The total cost of construction was double the original quote.
3. Despite opening in 1932. the Bridge was not fully paid off until 1988.
4. Approximately 80,000 litres of paint are required for each coat of the Bride.
5. It was painted grey because no other colour was available in such large quantities...imagine a red Harbour Bridge!.
From Opera House place I can see this famous amusement park in Sydney (LUNA PARK). Just need to zoom my camera so can take a picture of it. I'll promise to visit that place also it is one of my list. So, wait for me. ^_^
CIRCULAR QUAY - Is a busy transport hub, offering regular ferries to various locations across Sydney Harbour. It's also a great place to embark on your own tour of the city.
